Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Tripodea, a marketplace connecting travellers with tour and travel operators. By registering for or using Tripodea, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Definitions

"Platform" means the Tripodea website and services. "Customer" means a traveller who browses, books or reviews packages. "Service Provider" means a registered tour/travel operator who lists packages on the Platform. "Admin" means the Tripodea platform operator.

2. Role of the Platform

Tripodea acts as a neutral marketplace and mediator between Customers and Service Providers. We facilitate discovery, booking and payment, but the tour package itself is provided, delivered and fulfilled solely by the Service Provider. Tripodea is not the operator of any tour package listed on the Platform.

3. Account Registration

Customers and Service Providers must register using a valid phone number or email address and verify it via OTP. Service Providers must additionally submit accurate business details and, where requested, supporting documents for Admin verification. Providing false information may result in suspension or permanent termination of an account.

4. Booking & Payment

All bookings made through the Platform must be paid for through Tripodea's integrated payment gateway. A booking is only considered confirmed once payment has been verified by the payment gateway's webhook. Tripodea calculates and deducts a platform commission (set by Admin) from each confirmed booking before releasing the remaining payout to the Service Provider.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancellation and refund terms are set per package by the Service Provider, within minimum and maximum limits defined by Admin. Refund requests are reviewed by the Service Provider and, where escalated, by Admin, whose decision on disputed cases is final. Force-majeure cancellations (natural disasters, government restrictions, etc.) may be eligible for a full refund at Admin's discretion.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for providing accurate traveller details at the time of booking, arriving for the trip as scheduled, and complying with the Service Provider's terms during the trip. Reviews must reflect a genuine, completed booking experience.

7. Service Provider Responsibilities

Service Providers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings (pricing, inclusions, availability and operating days), for honouring confirmed bookings, and for responding to customer enquiries and cancellation requests in a timely manner. Providers must maintain an active subscription to keep listings published.

8. Reviews & Content

Reviews may only be submitted by Customers after a trip is marked complete. Admin reserves the right to edit or remove any review or listing suspected of being fraudulent, abusive, or in violation of these Terms.

9. Limitation of Liability

Tripodea is not liable for the acts, omissions, or service quality of any Service Provider, nor for events outside its reasonable control during a trip. Our liability in connection with the Platform is limited to the commission earned on the specific booking in question.

10. Intellectual Property

All Platform branding, design and software are the property of Tripodea. Content uploaded by Service Providers (photos, videos, itineraries) remains their property but is licensed to Tripodea for display on the Platform.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes arising from use of the Platform are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts where Tripodea is registered.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
